A classic whodunnit of pub-team camaraderie, shifting suspects, and a detective partnership facing its sternest test. The Game Is Ending. The Killer Is Still Playing. As changes loom at Bexford police station, Detective Sergeant Guy Poole goes looking for a distraction and finds it in the camaraderie of a village pub team. Then one of his new friends is murdered, and the distraction becomes the case. With a new partnership to bed in and a killer hiding amongst familiar faces, Poole has to work out whose friendship is real before the final game is played. The Final Game is the fifth and final book in the Brock and Poole Mysteries, a cosy murder mystery for readers who love village whodunnits, police partnerships, and puzzle plots. Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, M.C. Beaton, and Richard Osman. Praise for the Brock & Poole Mystery Series:? ? ? ? ? This final book of the series is one of the best. It’s packed with action and has so many characters that it’s a challenge to figure out who the murderer is. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and highly recommend it to everyone? ? ? ? ? Enjoyed the plot, the style of writing, the portrayal of the characters and the fluency of the writing. ? ? ? ? ? Nail biting stuff in between the investigations, character developments and skullduggery. ? ? ? ? ? Love this series, good to have to use your brain to work out the plots. ? ? ? ? ? This series of books is brilliant, just how I like them with an insight into the officers’ lives as well as the cases they are following. ? ? ? ? ? Fabulous characters, engaging, humorous and believable. ? ? ? ? ? A very human partnership… they don’t have all the answers and are not cardboard cutouts. ? ? ? ? ? Brock and Poole are great characters… written with flaws and all.
