A young and talented composer, frustrated with his mundane life in New York City, where he had given up on his creative aspirations in favor of a job in corporate advertising, yearns for a transformative experience. He discovers an opportunity for escape when he is offered a university-sponsored mission to South America, where he can explore the untouched regions of the world and seek out indigenous musical instruments. Armed with his guitar and his lover's companionship, he embarks on a journey that takes him back in time, to a place that feels alien to the modern world.

As he traverses this ancient land, he not only discovers the beauty of indigenous music but also finds himself on a quest for self-discovery. He questions the values and conventions that have shaped his life and seeks a deeper connection with the essence of what it means to be human. Through his travels, he rejects the modernity of his surroundings and embraces the timelessness of nature and the human spirit.

The story is a testament to the power of adventure, exploration, and self-reflection, and it reminds us of the importance of pursuing our passions and embracing the unknown. It encourages us to step outside of our comfort zones and seek out the extraordinary in the world around us.
