Many years ago, my passion for nature, places, and people sparked the idea for this book. Whenever I find something intriguing, I simply must capture it through the lens of my camera! It all began when a family friend took some memorable photos of us as children. I was immediately captivated by the camera, and my curiosity led me to ask if I could have a turn. On my thirteenth birthday, my parents surprised me with a Brownie C620. Excited, I rushed out into the fields, eager to photograph a Point-to-Point Horse Race. Despite taking numerous photographs, my true passion for photography didn't truly ignite until my daughter got married and my brother-in-law suggested I invest in a Canon AV1. Since then, I have exclusively used Canon cameras, including my current EOS 90D and a versatile 100 to 400 MkII lens for capturing wildlife. For landscape and close-up work, I rely on my EOS 7D MkII, equipped with a 24 to 105mm lens. As I grew older, carrying heavier lenses became increasingly challenging. Over the past two decades, I have had the pleasure of traveling with Bas Yates, another wildlife photographer and a cousin with shared interests. We constantly challenge each other to improve our photography skills, pushing ourselves to capture the perfect shot.

Throughout my 70 years as a photographer, I have experienced countless unforgettable moments and captured countless stunning images. I hope that you will enjoy these photographs as much as I have enjoyed taking them.
