Kathy and David Blackwell, both graduates of the University of Edinburgh, have pursued diverse musical paths. Kathy continued her studies at the University of Oxford and later embarked on a career as a string teacher and educational music writer. David, on the other hand, has worked in music publishing, composing, and arranging music across various genres, including choral and organ compositions, as well as educational music for strings, piano, and various other instruments. Together, they have co-authored the award-winning String Time series, published by Oxford University Press. Their dedication to music education has been recognized with two UK Music Industries Association awards for Best Educ.
