After successfully defusing another volatile flashpoint in the ongoing feud between the Winfield Kingdom and the Church, Col and Myuri are more than ready to take a well-deserved break. Of course, the world has other plans for the infamous Twilight Cardinal. As the two of them leisurely make their way to a certain monastery, they stumble upon a fallen squire who is up in arms the moment he finds out who they are. With the world's most powerful holy order of knights on the brink of dissolution and Col seemingly to blame, there's no time to waste!
The fallen squire, who goes by the name of Arin, is a former member of the holy order of knights who has turned his back on his former comrades. He is fiercely loyal to the Church and believes that Col and Myuri are responsible for the dissolution of the order. Arin is determined to take revenge on them and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
As Col and Myuri try to make their way to the monastery, they are confronted by a group of knights who are loyal to Arin. The knights are armed with powerful weapons and are determined to protect their fallen comrade. The two of them are forced to fight their way through the knights, using their skills and abilities to outmaneuver their opponents.
Despite their best efforts, Col and Myuri are eventually outnumbered and surrounded by the knights. Arin appears and confronts them, taunting them and accusing them of being traitors to the Church. Col and Myuri are unable to defend themselves and are captured by Arin.
Arin takes Col and Myuri to a remote location where he intends to execute them for their crimes against the Church. However, before he can do so, a group of rebels, who are also loyal to the Church, arrive and rescue them. The rebels are led by a mysterious woman who goes by the name of Celeste.
Celeste explains to Col and Myuri that Arin is not the true enemy and that the true threat to the Church is a group of powerful sorcerers who are planning to overthrow the order and take control of the world. She also reveals that Arin was once a member of the sorcerers' group but turned his back on them when he saw the evil they were capable of.
With the help of the rebels, Col and Myuri are able to defeat the sorcerers and save the Church from destruction. They are hailed as heroes and are given a place of honor in the Church. Arin, who was once a loyal servant of the Church, is now seen as a traitor and is executed for his crimes.
As Col and Myuri reflect on their adventure, they realize that the world is full of surprises and that they can never be too careful. They also realize that they have a newfound respect for the Church and its teachings and that they are willing to do whatever it takes to protect it.
In conclusion, Col and Myuri's adventure is a thrilling tale of heroism, betrayal, and redemption. It is a reminder that the world is full of dangers and that there are always people who are willing to sacrifice everything for their beliefs. It is also a testament to the power of faith and the strength of the human spirit.
